Check turn and phase
Before selecting a bid or card, confirm the current phase and whose profile carries the active-turn ring. A number in bidding and a card in trick play are different commands. After reconnecting, wait for the authoritative snapshot instead of sending repeated actions.
Read the hand two ways
Group cards once by trick strength and again by declaration potential. Aces and tens carry card points; king–queen pairs, the trump run, rank sets, and Pinik carry declaration potential. Keeping these views separate makes bidding easier to explain.
Remember that pass is final
A pass removes you from the current auction. Check the minimum valid amount, visible declaration support, and a plausible trump candidate first. Before submitting, read how the selected raise step changes the displayed total.
Find legality before power
In a trick, check whether you hold the led suit, then whether trump is required. Your strongest card is not always a legal choice. Even when the interface highlights valid cards, this mental sequence builds a table-ready habit.
Break down the result
Do not read only the total at round end. Inspect declarations, card points, the last-trick bonus, and contract outcome separately. When one part is unexpected, return to that glossary term or guide rather than relearning everything.
Give each bot-practice round one focus: legal cards, bidding, or the score breakdown. Short targeted repetitions make decisions calmer when you move into a private room.
