- Ace
The strongest rank in each suit; worth 11 card points.

- Bid
A valid point amount named during bidding.
It must be higher than the current high bid.

- Contract
The scoring commitment taken by the winning bidder's team.
A 600 contract requires the team to meet that result at round end.

- Contract failure
The contract team does not reach its commitment; canonical scoring applies the contract amount as a penalty.
A failed 600 contract applies -600 to the contract team.
- Contract winner
The player with the highest valid bid; this player chooses trump.
The winner is settled after the other eligible players pass.

- Deal
The process of distributing the shuffled deck to players.
In the four-player game, each player receives 20 cards.

The canonical 80-card set with four copies of ace, ten, king, queen, and jack in each suit.

The requirement to play the led suit when you hold it.
If hearts are led and you have a heart, another suit is not legal.

- King
The rank after ace and ten; worth 4 card points and can form a marriage with a queen.

- Last trick
The final trick of the round; its winning team receives a 20-point bonus.
The bonus is added separately from card points.
- Led suit
The suit of the first card played to a trick.
If you hold that suit, you must follow it.

- Marriage
A king and queen of the same suit; worth 20 in a non-trump suit.
K♥ + Q♥ is 20 when hearts are not trump.

- Minimum bid
The first valid bidding threshold: 550.
A lower amount is rejected.

P
- Packet
A group dealt to one player at a time; the canonical packet size is five.
Each pass gives a player five cards.
- Partner
The opposite-seat teammate who shares scoring in four-player partner mode.
Partners combine trick and declaration points.

- Pass
Leaving the auction without naming an amount. A player who passes does not bid again in that auction.
Passing is available when the contract looks too risky.

One queen of spades paired with one jack of diamonds; worth 40.
Q♠ + J♦ = 40.
- Private room
An online room where selected players join the same table with an invite code.
The host prepares the table and others enter with the code.

- Raise
Increasing the high bid by an allowed step; the interface supports 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50.
Choosing +20 over 550 offers 570.

- Rank set
A declaration based on the same rank across all four suits; value varies by rank and multiplicity.

- Run

- Server-authoritative
An online model where the server, not the client, decides deals, legal actions, scoring, and results.
Hidden opponent hands are not sent to the client.
- Suit
One of spades, hearts, diamonds, or clubs.
The led suit determines which suit must be followed.

- Target score
The cumulative team score used to complete a game; the app default is 4555.
A table setting may choose a different target.

A declaration built from king and queen rank sets; the canonical table scores team at 240, kelli team at 320, and full team at 350.
The exact team-set score follows the valid multiplicity.

- Trick
A group in which four players each play one card and a winner is determined.
